Treasures of the Past

Moved by the randomness of a picture I recently received, I couldn't help reflect.

The advent of technology has brought about the curious scenario of... what to do with the endless digital pictures stored on our phones, computers, and devices?

Perhaps they're easily discarded over time until you come across one that reminds you of someone special. That's what happened to me.

Instantly I was connected to this person that meant so very much to me, and although simply one of hundreds of pictures I have, it turns out this was not one I possessed before. Seeing it, reminded me of her, and my heart leaped with gratitude from knowing the love I had in living form, once.

Now four years removed, how grateful I am for the treasures of the past which reward me in the present. I pray nuggets like this happen for me until I too leave this journey.
