Introduction

It's a curious thing...talking about oneself. For me, it's a bit uncomfortable. Growing up as a child I was incredibly shy and preferred to only be around my mom and dad and sister. Mostly, I consumed myself in video games and playing with action figures. Those worlds were safe for me, since I guess they were under my control (relatively).

When not playing games as a kid, I played soccer and enjoyed the competition and teammates; but mostly got my thrill from excelling. In truth, when a coach, teammate or parent complimented me on my play I felt like a superhero. But I didn't tell anyone and they never would know it, because you couldn't pay me enough money, or buy me enough toys for me to talk.

A long time has passed since then, and much has happened. Hi, my name is Arturo Santos Jr. and in this blog hopefully we can journey through some of my past, some of my present, and engage in random thoughts that may enlighten us both,
